The Story Behind Side Streets & The Collective
The ideas behind Side Streets and Can Fit Collective grew from the same place — a long-standing connection to car culture and the people who build their lives around it.
For many enthusiasts, the best parts of the automotive world don’t happen in showrooms or on the main roads. They happen in sheds after work, on back roads late at night, or around a table at the local pub talking about the next project.
That world is what Side Streets exists to capture.
Side Streets is a place to explore car culture, road trips, local bars, and the conversations that happen along the way. It celebrates the lifestyle that surrounds cars — the friendships, the late nights in the shed, and the stories that come from building things properly.
Where The Collective Came From
Through years working in the automotive industry with Can Fit Automotive Accessories, a network of trusted specialists naturally formed around the projects we were involved in.
Fabricators, painters, tuners, suspension specialists and technicians — each with their own expertise.
Over time it became clear that many people wanted to build unique vehicles, but the biggest challenge wasn’t finding parts or skilled trades.
The challenge was coordinating everything properly.
That’s where Can Fit Collective comes in.
The Collective brings together that network of specialists and manages the process of building custom and modified vehicles from start to finish.
Instead of chasing multiple workshops and trying to manage each stage yourself, the Collective provides structure, coordination and a single point of contact for the entire project.
The Vision
The goal behind both projects is simple:
To create a place where car culture, craftsmanship and good people intersect.
Whether that means documenting the lifestyle through Side Streets or helping enthusiasts bring their own builds to life through the Collective, the focus is always the same.
Take the long way around.
